Who we are
Tempomental are a rock and roll band from Highgate, North London. We've been playing together in various configurations since 2019 — at pubs, festivals, private parties, and anywhere else prepared to have us.
We play rock and pop covers with conviction rather than caution. The set ranges from the Beatles to Living Colour, Paul Weller to Gnarls Barkley, the Foo Fighters to the Beach Boys. What ties it together is energy, a decent amount of rehearsal, and the fact that we all genuinely love the songs.
Our spiritual home is The Boogaloo in Highgate — one of North London's finest music pubs and the venue where most of the rough edges got knocked off.

Lead vocals, Guitar, Ukulele

Lead vocals, rhythm guitar and occasional ukulele. Sings the songs, helps with derangements, and has questionable stage banter.
Luiz de Almeida
Lead Guitar, Mandolin, Ukulele

Lead guitar virtuoso, Luiz brings effortless notes and cranks the chords across the room.
Andy Lee
Guitar, Vocals
"Andy"Andy Lee
Andy plays rhythm and lead with backing vocals, occasionaly taking the lead vocals to allow Toby to down another Guinness.
Chips Paul
Bass, Violin
"Chips"Chips Paul
Chips plays all the funky bass tunes and is occasionally encouraged to whip out the violin.
Andy Badacsonyi
Keyboards
"Badass"Andy Badacsonyi
Badass plays a mean set of keys, with unmatched enegry and dynamism.
Philip Coakley
Drums

Phils 'Sticks' Coakley keeps everyon on beat and up beat. He likes the zero percent stuff!

Mo Reez was an original founder, but he left us and went to Canada. The cheek! When he's over, he guests!
John Hollingdale
Bass

Snakehips was in the original line up but now spends most of his time in Devon or Dorset or some such. Another one who guests when in town.
The set
We don't do a note-perfect tribute act. We pick songs we love, play them the way they deserve, and occasionally do something unexpected with them. Here's a sample of what you might hear on any given night.
